Women of the ELCA
at St. Luke's

 

 


This organization provides a wide variety of fellowship and program opportunities for the women of the church. Participants study God’s Word and reach out to others through activity days and special projects.

Women’s Bible Study: Five circles meet monthly to study scripture and share in fellowship:

Mary Circle meets on the second Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Rebekah Circle meets on the second Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Ruth Circle meets the second Wednesday at 9:30a.m.

Sarah Circle meets on the second Saturday at 9 a.m.

Lydia Circle meets on the third Monday at 7 p.m.

Women’s Activity Day: Women of the ELCA sponsored activity morning is held the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. Work is done on various projects for the church and neighbors in need.

Prayer Chain: a prayer group sponsored by the Women of the ELCA that offers prayer support for members and friends in need. Illness, death, birth, celebrations and sorrows are shared in prayer.

WELCA Purpose Statement: As a community of Women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.
